About Us

Our founder, Chavon R. Davis- Settles, is the dreamer who created The Little Farmer 901.

Graduating from the West Tennessee New Farmers Academy Class of 2022. Chavon purchased her first lot in 2020 and purchased 4 acers in 2021.

The goal was to learn the fundamentals of Agriculture and become a woman Black owned minority producer in West Tennessee. Which will also lead to generational wealth in agriculture. Although this is a long-term goal because farming takes time, Chavon knows it will be worth it! This work is hard but she loves anything that will help sustain not only her family but her community.

Chavon is also the CEO at Y’ Solutions Taxes. Chavon joined the Y’ Solutions team as tax professional in 2012, and as a true testament to Y’ Solutions mindset she is the Senior Tax Professional. She is committed to taking advantage of educational opportunities and staying abreast on the latest tax law changes so that she can service clients in the most efficient way, when it comes to tax preparation. 

Chavon enjoys working for Y’ Solutions and being part of a brand that promotes individual growth and overall team growth. She also began a mentoring program called GIRL Empowerment in 2009 to inspire her own daughters and other girls to be whatever they desire to be in this world. Through her work with GIRL Empowerment, Chavon has mentored over 30 + girls, most who are adults now. Now the GIRL Empowerment supports that same woman in adulthood with employment opportunities or any social assistance they need to be successful.

Also, the owner of the Bailey Station Event Venue, an event venue in the heart of Soulsville, Memphis, TN; This venue also provides and space for community sponsored events where small community organizations can have an open space to organize to for the betterment of the community.

Our Little Farmer is busy but most of all she loves to spend time with family especially her three grandsons, Bailey, Bryson, and Dominic.
